Welcome to the Topological Molecular Nanocarbons Laboratory (TMNC) led by Dr. Junzhi Liu. We are a new research group in the Department of Chemistry and State Key Laboratory of Synthetic Chemistry, The University of Hong Kong. Our research interests focus on the rational design, atomically precise synthesis, and detailed investigation of the exotic physical phenomena emerging from topological nanocarbons. We pursue a highly integrated multidisciplinary research program including physical, chemistry and functional materials, founded on modular bottom-up organic synthesis of functional carbon nanostructures at atomic level, their controlled assembly behaviors, and the evaluation of inherent electronic, optical, and magnetic properties.
